Luxe Box: Year In Review – Vlog

On Monday, May 15th, 2017; it was the one year anniversary of Luxe Box in Second Life. Many Vloggers & Bloggers have done their own unboxing videos and showing off what was inside of this month’s box. I wanted to do something a little bit different, so I am doing a year in review. I will showing off my 2 -3 favorite Luxe Box items from all of the past Boxes released in the past year.

If you didn’t join the Luxe Box in time for the month and you would like to get the items, there are two different ways that you can get it. First you can join the Luxe Box group on the 15’th of the month after it’s been delivered for double the price until 12am of the 16’th of that month or Secondly you can join when enrollment begins on the 1’st of the month and go to the Luxe Box Boutique and buy any of the previous Luxe boxes. All of this information is listed on the Luxe Box FAQ. All previously released Luxe Boxes are available at the Luxe Box Boutique for the cost of 2000L. To receive the latest Luxe Boxes, it costs 1500L to join the group every month before the 15’th when enrollment ends and the box is delivered. To see what’s in the boxes of previous months, check out the Luxe Box Catalog.

You can find out even more information about Luxe Box; such as designers for the month & contests to win a free Luxe Box on their website.

Converting Azz Appliers to Omega

My blog about The Maitreya Mesh Body and Omega Appliers, has already gotten quite a few views and replies on Facebook thanks to Strawberry Singh sharing it.

A common question that has come up is how does one convert their old Phat Azz & Lola Appliers into New Omega ones. It’s quite simple and I’ll walk you right through it but first I need to make a note in regards to Lola’s Appliers. You do not need to convert your Lola appliers into an Omega one. It seems that the Lola’s and Omega notecards are read on the same channel, meaning that Lola appliers should work just fine unless they were not made with full upper textures as I detailed in my last post.

At the Omega store and on their marketplace page, there’s a kit for converting appliers to Omega. If you also have the Maitreya Mesh Body you need to grab their Omega Relay to apply the clothing to the mesh body

Converting Phat Azz or any other Azz Appliers to Omega:

In the picture below, I am showing what came with the Converter Bundle for Omega System. I will just be working with the Omega Classic – Convertsion Kit. -The Combo Bottom Applier

Omega Look

First you need to rezz out the applier you want to convert, try to do this on a building platform or outside of your home, you don’t want to accidentally delete something and create more work for yourself. Then rez out one of the combo bottom appliers from Omega. Next you need to right click and select edit on the applier you are converting from so that you can grab the notecard. I should note that most are linked objects so while in edit you need to click on edit linked parts then on the prim. For example, I am using a Reign applier, I click edit linked parts and then on ‘Pants’, next going to the Content folder which shows the notecard that I can drag out and drop into my inventory.

Next you will want to right click to enter edit mode on the Omega Applier, once there in the content folder of the object you will already find a ‘Config Pant’ Notecard there, you must right click and delete that notecard one before dropping in the new one!

Drag and drop in your new notecard into the object, it should have been no modify/no transfer when you took it from the original applier. Rename your Applier and take it into your inventory, making sure to place it in theory into the folder the outfit is as it will not do that automatically. Also either take or delete your other applier but make sure it was copyable, it wasn’t then you need to make sure to take it back into your inventory otherwise it will be deleted and then you will lose it!!

Now to test out and see if your applier was made correctly make sure you have it attached, along with your Maitreya Hud and Maitreya Omega Relay. Click Pants on your applier and it should apply, now I also have on my Reign applier as well to show that when the Maitreya Omega Relay is attached you can simply click on the Lola applier and it appears on your body also well, as long as the texture for the Lolas was made with a full upper texture as stated in my other blog.

I hope this has cleared up a few things and explained thing a bit better for those converting their appliers. If anyone else has any questions, please feel free to contact me on my Facebook. Flickr or Facebook Page For The Blog.

The Maitreya Mesh Body & Omega Appliers

Maitreya Mesh Body

I know that I haven’t blogged in a longtime but I felt the urge too with all of the information that I have been finding out over the past few days in regards to the new Maitreya Mesh Body. So please bear with me through all of the pictures and the following information.

The Omega System that has been catching on since the summer of 2014 has been quite useful many designers now offer Omega Appliers along with many others with their newer clothing.

Even if a designer doesn’t offer Omega Appliers you can easily create your own using their Conversion Kits. So earlier today I began to test out if appliers could easily be made and I found out a few things.

In regards to creating appliers from the older Phat/Cute Azz notecards it’s quite a breeze, unless you are trying to convert for example a pair of high waist shorts from the summertime. You will find that it works but the top of the shorts which should be on your stomach will not be there, that is due to that layer having been created as a system layer. At this moment in time there is nothing which can be done other than to see if the product has been re-released with Omega Appliers or to contact the designer to see if they plan to update their older items at some point in the future.

As for Lola’s tops, Omega has said that there is no need to create new appliers as the old Lola’s tops since the notecards seem to be read on the same channel as Omega.

But there is a disclaimer on the Maitreya Kit from Omega; ‘Disclaimer: Not ALL Tango Appliers will work correctly! Appliers that do not use a full upper texture will not work.

Now there is the slight issue, some appliers work and others do not. The ones which did not use a full upper texture, the textures will appear on the arms and stomach. Once more the only thing that can be done is to see if the product has been re-released with Omega Appliers or to contact the designer to see if they plan to update their older items at some point in the future, hopefully using full upper textures.

Example of a Working Full Upper Texture: REIGN.- Bowtie Bodysuit- Bubblegum, popular during Summer of 2014

Example of a Non Full Upper Texture: 1 Hundred. Bareback Bodysuit. Charcoal

1Hundred Example of Non Full Upper Texture

Now I went through quite a few things that I own and I am happy to say quite a few of the Lola’s appliers worked because they were made with a full upper texture.

Here is a list of the older items that I tried which show up perfectly on the Maitreya Mesh Body as a complete top.

Reign
Izzie’s
Forever Young
[In]sight
American Beauty
IAF
Biddy
Renegade
So – Hai

Beauty Is Pain

Now I have sent a few notecards out to certain designers who’s clothing that I enjoy very much and am waiting for replies. So far I have heard back from only one (was a super quick reply only 10 minutes after I had sent the notecard); Skyler Lebed the owner of Dirty Princess. In her own words, regarding Omega Appliers for her clothing. ‘No, I do not have plans to update any older items, atm, if I do, do some omega’s for any older items I will release them as new items, and list them all again.’

Most of the items that are offered from Dirty Princess are 200L or lower so I look forward to see what items might be updated and re-listed in the future.

So for those of you who are wondering if you should delete your old Azzes and Lola’s; hang onto to them. They will come in handy for those items which were not made with full upper or lower textures.

I hope that this information helps quite a few people out. Happy New Year ♥
