Luxe Box: Year In Review – Vlog

On Monday, May 15th, 2017; it was the one year anniversary of Luxe Box in Second Life. Many Vloggers & Bloggers have done their own unboxing videos and showing off what was inside of this month’s box. I wanted to do something a little bit different, so I am doing a year in review. I will showing off my 2 -3 favorite Luxe Box items from all of the past Boxes released in the past year.

If you didn’t join the Luxe Box in time for the month and you would like to get the items, there are two different ways that you can get it. First you can join the Luxe Box group on the 15’th of the month after it’s been delivered for double the price until 12am of the 16’th of that month or Secondly you can join when enrollment begins on the 1’st of the month and go to the Luxe Box Boutique and buy any of the previous Luxe boxes. All of this information is listed on the Luxe Box FAQ. All previously released Luxe Boxes are available at the Luxe Box Boutique for the cost of 2000L. To receive the latest Luxe Boxes, it costs 1500L to join the group every month before the 15’th when enrollment ends and the box is delivered. To see what’s in the boxes of previous months, check out the Luxe Box Catalog.

You can find out even more information about Luxe Box; such as designers for the month & contests to win a free Luxe Box on their website.

Oakley Foxtrot challenged those of us who attended her BVN Talk to use some smoke in our pictures, so here’s my take upon it, along with lighting and finding my style & going with things that inspire me and not second guessing myself regarding it.

Answering Viewer Questions & Giveaway Winner!!

Here’s a quick video; Answering Viewer Questions and revealing the Winner of the Giveaway that I was having.

There is a timestamp in the description, with a list of questions asked, as well as their timestamp so you can skip to the parts you wish to watch. I also asked a question to my viewers; asking if you all would like to see more videos of me talking with other Vloggers about random topics and sharing our points of view. If any of you are Vloggers and would like to have a random sit down conversation, please contact me and let me know.

The Winner of the Giveaway was Strawberry Singh. I was very excited for her to win, she always does giveaways on her blog, so I thought it was nice she got the chance to win something for once.

Second Life Vlogger Challenge!

Strawberry Singh issued a Vlogger Challenge, on her Blog & Youtube Channel back on April 24, 2017.

Challenge instructions: Share a video of your avatar in Second Life introducing yourself, talking a little bit about what you do in SL, how long you’ve been here, what you plan to share on your youtube channel and any other information you’d like to share. Or if you don’t want to talk in the video you can just dance, explore SL or do any kind of video you feel like doing, just make sure it is about Second Life. I encourage everyone to try and share their video on youtube, but you are free to upload it to flickr, vimeo or anywhere else you prefer. Then come back to this post and leave a link to your video in the comments so we can all click over to see and subscribe to your channel. Please remember to add the words “Second Life” in your tags or description on youtube so it comes up when people search for Second Life related content on youtube.

It took me awhile to get around to it, due to my nerves. But I finally got around to biting the bullet and doing it.

There are quite a few Vloggers within Second Life now, each with their own point of view doing things from unboxings videos, to simply talking about their day. So take the challenge and share what your Second Life is all about.

Monday Meme: Second Life Yearbook Smile Challenge!

I’ve mostly been out of the blogging loop and have decided to stay that way for the most part. But as always I am slightly pulled back in by; The Mother of Bloggers, Queen of Photography! Yes this is my personal name for her and I will continue to use it but who else could I be speaking about other than Strawberry Singh!

So she has decided to being Monday Meme’s once again and I couldn’t be happier, as it’s something that I have always enjoyed doing. Also I must note it’s something that can make me blog at least once a week again which isn’t too much for me. Anyways onto this week’s Meme!

Meme instructions: Share an image of your Second Life avatar smiling for a yearbook photo. Don’t forget to share the link to your post in the comments and add your pictures to the new Second Life Yearbook flickr group, you can also share them in the Blog Memes flickr group if you like.

Second Life Yearbook Challenge 2015!

I know, I am not smiling but there is a reason for that. I have the AnyPose Expression Hud, which I find quite useful for pictures. There is one thing, I HATE the smiles.. looks like I am going to break into someone’s home and murder them as they sleep…or as if I was giving too many ‘happy’ pills to try to stabilize my mood. So then I went looking at the Loud Mouth which also had me left more than a bit disappointed. So my theme slowly began to take form, I’m angry; this should be so fucking simple! And there I got it, channel my anger into this and make a future mug shot picture because truth be told, I hated smiling for school pictures and was made not once but twice to retake pictures by my mother! So I just used my [Whatever] Teeth 2.0 Pierced that I always wear but with the ‘Hooked’ Mesh Alpha Included! So there you have it, perhaps a bit outside of the box but this is me that we are talking about after all.

Converting Azz Appliers to Omega

My blog about The Maitreya Mesh Body and Omega Appliers, has already gotten quite a few views and replies on Facebook thanks to Strawberry Singh sharing it.

A common question that has come up is how does one convert their old Phat Azz & Lola Appliers into New Omega ones. It’s quite simple and I’ll walk you right through it but first I need to make a note in regards to Lola’s Appliers. You do not need to convert your Lola appliers into an Omega one. It seems that the Lola’s and Omega notecards are read on the same channel, meaning that Lola appliers should work just fine unless they were not made with full upper textures as I detailed in my last post.

At the Omega store and on their marketplace page, there’s a kit for converting appliers to Omega. If you also have the Maitreya Mesh Body you need to grab their Omega Relay to apply the clothing to the mesh body

Converting Phat Azz or any other Azz Appliers to Omega:

In the picture below, I am showing what came with the Converter Bundle for Omega System. I will just be working with the Omega Classic – Convertsion Kit. -The Combo Bottom Applier

Omega Look

First you need to rezz out the applier you want to convert, try to do this on a building platform or outside of your home, you don’t want to accidentally delete something and create more work for yourself. Then rez out one of the combo bottom appliers from Omega. Next you need to right click and select edit on the applier you are converting from so that you can grab the notecard. I should note that most are linked objects so while in edit you need to click on edit linked parts then on the prim. For example, I am using a Reign applier, I click edit linked parts and then on ‘Pants’, next going to the Content folder which shows the notecard that I can drag out and drop into my inventory.

omega2

Next you will want to right click to enter edit mode on the Omega Applier, once there in the content folder of the object you will already find a ‘Config Pant’ Notecard there, you must right click and delete that notecard one before dropping in the new one!

omega3

Drag and drop in your new notecard into the object, it should have been no modify/no transfer when you took it from the original applier. Rename your Applier and take it into your inventory, making sure to place it in theory into the folder the outfit is as it will not do that automatically. Also either take or delete your other applier but make sure it was copyable, it wasn’t then you need to make sure to take it back into your inventory otherwise it will be deleted and then you will lose it!!

Now to test out and see if your applier was made correctly make sure you have it attached, along with your Maitreya Hud and Maitreya Omega Relay. Click Pants on your applier and it should apply, now I also have on my Reign applier as well to show that when the Maitreya Omega Relay is attached you can simply click on the Lola applier and it appears on your body also well, as long as the texture for the Lolas was made with a full upper texture as stated in my other blog.

I hope this has cleared up a few things and explained thing a bit better for those converting their appliers. If anyone else has any questions, please feel free to contact me on my Facebook. Flickr or Facebook Page For The Blog.

Debating…

It’s been 4 months since I have shut down this blog but I have been debating with myself whether or not to start it back up again or not. I might simply use it to show the pictures that I edit, giving credits of the items worn and that’s all. I’ve really come to enjoy editing photos and learning more and more tricks as well as figuring different things out within Photoshop. I suppose in a way it became my safe haven during the end of the summer and early fall and I would like to show off what I now can do. It’s simply a matter of not letting it control my life as it once did with the need to post each and every single day like I tried to do once before. Posting would be pretty all over the place,if I started once more which is fine by me. I simply want to enjoy it and not let it rule or control my time within SL.

So for now I will continue to debate and leave you with a picture that I did a few days ago.

I hope that you all have been well. ♥
