Monday Meme: Second Life Yearbook Smile Challenge!

I’ve mostly been out of the blogging loop and have decided to stay that way for the most part. But as always I am slightly pulled back in by; The Mother of Bloggers, Queen of Photography! Yes this is my personal name for her and I will continue to use it but who else could I be speaking about other than Strawberry Singh!

So she has decided to being Monday Meme’s once again and I couldn’t be happier, as it’s something that I have always enjoyed doing. Also I must note it’s something that can make me blog at least once a week again which isn’t too much for me. Anyways onto this week’s Meme!

Meme instructions: Share an image of your Second Life avatar smiling for a yearbook photo. Don’t forget to share the link to your post in the comments and add your pictures to the new Second Life Yearbook flickr group, you can also share them in the Blog Memes flickr group if you like.

Second Life Yearbook Challenge 2015!

I know, I am not smiling but there is a reason for that. I have the AnyPose Expression Hud, which I find quite useful for pictures. There is one thing, I HATE the smiles.. looks like I am going to break into someone’s home and murder them as they sleep…or as if I was giving too many ‘happy’ pills to try to stabilize my mood. So then I went looking at the Loud Mouth which also had me left more than a bit disappointed. So my theme slowly began to take form, I’m angry; this should be so fucking simple! And there I got it, channel my anger into this and make a future mug shot picture because truth be told, I hated smiling for school pictures and was made not once but twice to retake pictures by my mother! So I just used my [Whatever] Teeth 2.0 Pierced that I always wear but with the ‘Hooked’ Mesh Alpha Included! So there you have it, perhaps a bit outside of the box but this is me that we are talking about after all.

On Vacation!

I apologize for the lack of posting for the past few days. I’ve been busy quite a bit in RL due to my daughter going on vacation and getting ready for a friend who is visiting me. I will be taking a vacation from this blog from June 11- June 18! I might get out a post or two in the morning if I have time to do such before my guest arrives; if not you’ll be hearing from me again on June 19’th hopefully if everything goes well. I hope that you all are enjoying your summer so far. ♥

Wednesday Find: Heart Song

While reading through the different blogs that I follow regularly, I came across something early Monday morning that caught my attention. Harlow Heslop, had been working on her personal homestead sim: Heart Song. For the time being she has left it open to the public so that people may take pictures and explore the land. I knew that a chance such as this doesn’t come around everyday, so I placed it on my to-do list for the week and finally went! (Dragging the husband along as well) Harlow Heslop is one of the top five photographers in SL that I look up too and follow, it was an honor to go and see what her mind created for the sim. If you haven’t please check out her Blog and Flickr; I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

What she has created is simply breath-taking. I had to take a couple of pictures on different windlight setting, that I did nothing too, save for cropping. I hope that you all enjoy and hope that you go take a look at Heart Song while it’s still open to the public.

Peace

Flaming Pear: Flood Photoshop Plugin Part 2 & More Highlights of The Week

Alright since I’ve discovered the Flood Plug-In from Flaming Pear due to the every wonderful Strawberry Singh; I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with it.  Perhaps a bit too much fun but my mind is thinking of all these different ways that it can be used while I debate getting the full version once this trial runs out. It’s almost day 3 of my 14 day trial and I can honestly say that I have fallen in love. This is the very first plug-in I have tried and now I want.. no I crave so much more. If someone can point a novice such as myself in the right direction of some wonderful plug-ins; I would be ever so grateful.

The first picture I’m going to post is a bit NSFW but it is a pose called; Pressure that I found at Double Take this evening while on my FLF (Fifty Linden Fridays) run through. It was too good of a deal to pass up!  I grabbed it and my husband and flew a bit below our skybox above the land beginning to play around with windlights while changing. (Also if anyone can point me in the direction of a few more windlights I would be ever so grateful as well! I’ll bake you cookies!!!) I have to admit that the husband is becoming more used to this me taking off when inspiration begins to take over me. Hope you like the picture and the few others that I have created over the last 72 hours or so.

**Wanted To Note: The first two pictures were taken just in the air above my land while the last one was taken at a place that I stumbled upon due to Luna Jubilee due to her being the cover model for Fusion Magazine this month after the article about her there was one about a very nice sim that I hadn’t heard of before and I was quite impressed. If you have a chance stop by *Frisland*, You can join a group that allows you to rez so that you may take photographs but in order to do so you need to contact one of the owners of the sim. I will be doing such in a bit, it was one of the many things on my to do list but as always I get a bit sidetracked during the best of times.
